Unique Motoryacht
Motoryacht "Tärnan" drawn by the famous constructor
C.G.Pettersson 1916 for Gustafsson & Andersson Warf, Skärsätra,
Stockholm, Sweden, was built 1917 with the measures 9,6 x
1,7 meters (31,5"x5.5").
The original construction-drawing is kept at the Maritime
Museum in Stockholm, number 437 in the Pettersson collection.
The boat is almost original with well-kept original metalwork
& fittings, very nice steeringweel etc. Some modification
has been done in the passengers apartment due to a saloon,
added in the 50th. The saloon is now removed. The body is
in restorable condition, foredeck, afterdeck & planksheer
is i worse condition and ought to be replaced. The stern and
a few feet of the planking need some minor replacement.
The benches in the passengers apartment need replacement,
but the drawers and the beatiful wall behind the steering
apartment are complete and well-kept. The yacht is unique
- a very early contruction of C.G.Pettersson, and the placement
of the engine under the foredeck is very rare and attractive.
The among the first known owners are Admiral J.T.C.Ancarkrona
(1925-1934), and the yacht was registred at the Royal Motoryacht
Society (KMK).
